The American School of Brasilia, one of the most traditional schools in Brasilia, celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2021. To mark the occasion, the Communications Department developed a marketing campaign aimed at showing how much EAB has been part of the history of many generations and has been “inspiring learners” (a direct reference to the school’s mission, “Learners Inspiring Learners”) for at least six decades.
As part of the EAB Communications Department during the celebrations, I was responsible for developing the entire visual identity of the campaign. The first step was to create the commemorative logo, which has a simple design and draws on the school's connection to the city of Brasilia, since it was founded just one year after the capital was inaugurated, using one of its most characteristic icons as a reference: the famous “tesourinhas” (little scissors).
Below are some examples of applications of the logo and lettering with the campaign slogan, “We inspire learners every day since 1961”:
Finally, I was also responsible for creating the landing page for the commemorative campaign, which contained articles recalling special moments at the school and various photos of students, teachers, and staff who had been part of EAB over the years.
